Spiritual Illumination

My mind was overwhelmed with questions: Why had God let it come to this? Where was He? Had He forgotten to be faithful? Had He forgotten that the whole reason that I was in Uganda was because He had so clearly called me? Had He forgotten that I loved Him and wanted to serve Him? What about His promises? How did I get into this situation? How could I be here in Africa to serve Him and completely run out of money? Where was all of this abundant provision that I hear so much about?

In every generation, the church is faced with a certain test-case, a certain issue which is the clearest barometer of the conviction and biblical commitment of the people of God. The church in Germany, for example, faced this sort of question with the rise of Hitler in the 1930s. Today, the church faces a secular regime of unrestrained moral revisionism, especially on the issue of homosexuality.

I was born in 1968 and grew up in southern California. I am the eldest of three children and was born a strong-willed child with a "spirited" personality. The first 8 years of life my family attended a good church where I learned about God and Jesus. As a little girl, I knew and loved Jesus very much...

Converts from Islam to Christianity are increasingly concerned about a number of reports in recent months which have cited astounding statistics on conversion. It is true – and a matter for thankfulness to God – that more Muslims are now coming to Christ than at any other time in history. However, they are not converting on the vast scale alleged in some reports. These false reports, often initiated by non-Christians and then circulated by Christians, are a matter of grave concern, not just for those who love truth and accuracy, but also for the many individuals whose lives are being endangered by the publicity given to the exaggerated figures.

If you spend time looking you will find that there is a lot of free content on this website and we have spent a LOT of time and money in this ministry (literally tens of thousands of dollars). It would be nice to recover some of our costs, but we would also like to know that the people who appreciate this content are also prepared to make a small committment to us in support of what we are doing.

In 2004 we launched this website and the printed version of Worldview Interactive magazine. We distributed 20,000 free copies of Issue One throughout Australia and followed up with Issue 2, which we sent to subscribers in Australia. We distributed the remaining copies of Issue Two for free in Africa. We estimate that the total readership of these two magazines would be many tens of thousands of people, and our website has consistently been getting thousands of visitors per month.

Every day is filled with opportunities. We have opportunities to engage in the pursuit of personal goals and ambitions, opportunities for pleasure and recreation, for work or business pursuits, to touch the lives of others and bring them inspiration and hope through the gospel, opportunities for learning and discovery... the list could go on and on.  But amidst the busyness of life, it’s aIways a good thing to take time and periodically pause and be a little introspective about your life. From time to time I ask some fundamental questions about what I am doing on this earth.
